If you have read my previous post on My Handbag Essentials, you will know that I recently (ish)bought a new purse in Accessorize - which I adore :)
While I was in there I also noticed they had new eyeshadow palettes. They were so pretty, I knew I had to get one, and I did.
Colours: I love the set of colours in this palette, and I think that they would be perfect for Summer, especially if you are going away, this would be the perfect one to take with you. The only thing I have a problem with, is that the description (on the back) says that it has a range of matte and shimmery colours, but from what I can see, only around 1/3 of them are matte. This is not a problem for me, as I love shimmery eyeshadows, but for anyone who doesn't, might want to find a different palette.
Application: I have found that these eye shadows are best applied with a sponge ended applicator, rather than a regular eye brush - I'm not sure why as I don't usually like them, but they seem to pick up the colours better. They are easily blended together and the colours layered easily to create a brighter tone.
Quality: I think that the quality of this palette is very good as the shadows stay on well (don't rub the shimmery ones unless you want glitter all over your hands) but don't take a ton of scrubbing with makeup remover to get them off. The colours are well pigmented and very bright.
Retail Price: £12.00
I think this is a fair price for the colours you get and the quality of the shadows, so would definitely recommend this palette if you want to get your moneys worth.
